You’ve Held It Together Long Enough

Empty white space with no visible objects or details.

You’re the one who gets it done, the one who keeps everything moving, shows up for everyone, no matter what.

But inside? You’re bracing for the next emotional hit… or shutting down just to make it through.

What if the struggle isn’t just about “mindset” ,but about the deeper wiring of your nervous system?

When life has taught you to stay on high alert or to numb out for survival, it’s not a personal failing — it’s how your body and mind learned to keep you safe. The good news? With the right support, that wiring can be gently rewired, helping you feel grounded, safe, and truly present in your life.

Somatic trauma coaching works directly with the nervous system to release survival patterns and build inner safety. You’ll get grounded support for the version of you that’s tired of holding it all in.

What Is Somatic Trauma Coaching?

Somatic coaching helps you reconnect with the body signals you’ve had to ignore to get through life. Using body-based techniques, we work gently with your nervous system to shift out of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses into regulation.

Somatic coaching helps if:

  • You’re constantly overwhelmed or emotionally reactive.

  • You shut down in stress or conflict.

  • You struggle with boundaries or feel like your needs are “too much.”

  • You’ve gained insight from therapy, but your body still holds the tension.

  • You’re running on empty, but can’t seem to slow down.

We’ve each walked through loss, identity rupture, relational pain, and the weight of trying to hold it all together. Along the way, we discovered that true healing doesn’t come from talking alone — it comes from reconnecting with the body.

Somatic therapy helps clients move beyond surface-level solutions and into embodied, lasting change. Whether you’re navigating grief, betrayal trauma, codependency, anxiety, or a sense of disconnection from self, we offer grounded, compassionate care rooted in somatic practices, RTT®, trauma-informed coaching, and lived experience.

This isn’t about pushing through or fixing yourself. It’s about restoring regulation, presence, and connection — returning to the parts of you that have always been reaching for healing.

Somatic Practitioner: Frequently Asked Questions

  • A somatic practitioner helps clients work through emotional pain by focusing on body-based techniques, like breathwork, grounding, movement, or nervous system tracking, to release stored stress or trauma. The goal is to build safety and regulation from within the body, not just the mind.

  • Somatic coaching is typically not covered by insurance unless provided by a licensed mental health professional. Jennifer Acker & Associates Coaching sessions are private-pay, as they offer somatic trauma coaching outside of a clinical model.

  • No. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and somatic therapy are different methods. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to process trauma memories, while somatic therapy focuses on releasing survival responses stored in the nervous system.

  • Look for a practitioner with specialized training in somatic trauma work, a trauma-informed approach, and experience creating a safe, attuned space. Jennifer Acker & Associates Coaching combine RTT, grief coaching, and somatic tools to offer body-first support tailored to each client’s pace and needs.
